Immediately to the dealer’s left you will find the card shoe and the sign that indicates the minimum bet. It would be wise to read this sign before you begin play to ensure that you are not in over your head. To the dealer’s immediate right there is a money drop slot. This is where all currency and tips are placed. Next to this you will find a discard tray.

According to blackjack rules, play officially begins after the dealer shuffles the cards, a player cuts the deck and the dealer burns (discards) the top card. Players must place a wager in the drop box before cards are dealt.
